Welcome to the eLearning for the Mental Health Act 2014 (Western Australia).

Step 1: Go to the Menu tab at the top of this page, select Register to set up a username and password. Alternatively, click on the Register button under the Login button at the right hand side of this page.

Step 2: Each time you come back to this page, log-in with your chosen username and password.

Step 3: Depending on what category you select during the registration process you will be automatically assigned either the clinician, referring practitioner, or consumer and carer course. Go to the ‘My Training’ tab at the top of the page to see your courses.

If you would like to enrol in another course go to the ‘Course Catalogue’ tab at the top of the page. All courses are freely available and everyone is welcome to complete any course.

Available courses are:

• Clinicians’ eLearning Package (recommended to all mental health service staff)
• Referring Practitioners’ eLearning Package (recommended to referrers including GPs and ED clinicians)
• Consumers’ and Carers’ eLearning Package (recommended to anyone interested in the mental health laws)
• Transport Officers’ eLearning Package (recommended to those carrying out transport orders)
• Additional information about the Clinicians’ eLearning Package

All assessment components are ‘open-book’ and you can rely on any of the following materials to assist you:

• The Mental Health Act 2014
• The Clinicians’ Practice Guide to the Mental Health Act 2014

Once you have completed the first 15 topics of the package your certificate will be available in Topic 16.
